In a goodwill message, Most Reverend Dr. John Bogna Bakeni, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Borno State Chapter, and Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Diocese, Maiduguri, extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah in the state on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el Kabir celebration.
The message, released to the media in the state, conveyed the Chairman’s prayers for Allah to accept the prayers and supplications of the Muslim faithful and reward their sacrifices.
Bishop Bakeni emphasized the importance of preaching and working for justice and peaceful harmony in the state. He further added,
“As we share and exchange gifts, let us remember the poor and the underprivileged around and among us.”
This statement highlights the Chairman’s call to extend kindness and support to those in need during the festive season. The message serves as a testament to the interfaith harmony and unity within Borno State, fostering an environment of mutual respect and cooperation among different religious communities.
