In a commendable display of leadership and compassion, Engineer Bukar Talba, the serving member of the House of Representatives for Marte, Monguno, and Nganzai Federal Constituency of Borno state, had during the weekend rolled out a substantial food and cash palliative for his constituents.

The palliative distribution reached a selected 1,500 households and individuals who received crucial aid to help them ease the current hardship in the state.

The Borno state governor Babagana Zulum was represented by Deputy Governor Umar Kadafur, who flagged off the distribution at the state mechanical workshop, Maiduguri.

Engineer Bukar Talba’s initiative reached out to 500 household beneficiaries from each of the three local government areas. Each of the benefiting households received a bag of rice, a bag of maize, and a sum of N20,000.

The tangible impact of Engineer Talba’s efforts was acknowledged by Governor Zulum in a message delivered by Deputy Governor Kadafur, who lauded the lawmaker for his significant contribution to the welfare of his constituents and the state in general.
