A non-governmental organization, the Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN( Borno State chapter, had conducted yet anothe advocacy activity on budget tracking for health programmes in the state. 

Led by CS-SUNN State Coordinator Hajiya Aisha Maidala, the team of advocates visited the Borno State Ministry of Health on June 3 where they sensitized relevant officials on the importance of budget tracking. 

The group said the focus of the advocacy was on promoting effective budget tracking mechanisms for health programs in the state. 

“By advocating for transparency and accountability in budget allocation and expenditure, CS-SUNN aimed to ensure that resources are efficiently utilized to improve healthcare services and address nutrition challenges in Borno State,” Maidala said.

CS-SUNN has also taken budget tracking activities to the state’s house of Assembly where relevant committee members on budget granted audience to the team and assured of partnership to achieve greater transparency and accountability for the state.
