The Borno State Government regrets to announce the death of Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the State Commissioner of Finance, who passed away in the morning of August 26, 2024.

Professor Usman Tar, the Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, who made the announcement stated that Ahmed Ali Ahmed was a dedicated public servant whose contributions to the state were invaluable. He said his commitment to improving the financial landscape of Borno State will be remembered by all.

The burial is scheduled for today at 5:00 p.m. at the family house of the late commissioner, located on Damboa Road behind Indimi’s residence. Members of the public who wish to pay their respects are welcome to join the family during this difficult time.

The Borno State Government extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late commissioner.
