MAIDUGURI, Nigeria — Ahmed Satomi, the member representing the Jere Federal Constituency of Borno State, has disbursed ₦71.9 million to support victims of the recent flood disaster and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The funds were part of the ₦100 million allocated for the Jere Flood Relief Fund. Satomi urged constituents to pray for protection against future natural or artificial disasters.

Previously, the lawmaker contributed ₦200 million to the Borno State Government to help over a million people displaced by the floods on September 10, 2024. Satomi personally lost about 2,000 hectares of rice fields, and over 50,000 hectares of farmland in Jere were submerged.
